A Creative Way to Give a Punishment

by Kitten

Do you ever feel antsy not knowing what punishment that your Daddy is going to give you when you’ve misbehaved? Daddies, have you ever taken hours to decide what punishment to give your little one? Well look no further, Papa and I made a great, creative way to give a punishment! I saw an idea on Pinterest for deciding on date nights and I was like, “Ohhh I could use that for something else!” Immediately, I was in a frenzy, texting Papa we HAD to go to Walmart as soon as possible because I had a craft to do! Making this punishment jar was one of the most bonding, awesome things we’ve done together and it really opened a huge door for communication.

I don’t know about you guys, but I absolutely LOVE to do crafts. It is a simple, fun time to get messy, jump into little space with Papa and have a lot of fun!

Today’s craft is a unique way to – in my opinion – make punishment deciding not only easier on the Dom, but kinda sorta fun for you. You never know what you’re gonna get, and, how many.

So, in order to do this craft, you’re going to need the following, all that I purchased at Walmart. I think in total I spent maybe 12$ on this craft?

  • Wide mouth mason jar
  • Perm. marker (I used an oil-based paint marker)
  • Popsicle sticks
  • 3 colors of paint (I paid 0.50 each!)
  • A list of punishment ideas
  • Paint brushes (I ended up using old makeup brushes that I will never use again!)

I think that second to making the popsicles, making the list of punishments was the most fun. I really feel like this opened a big communication point for us and really helped us both establish not just punishments, but rules that we could work with together. It really opened the door to creative thinking and also, what punishments I would consent to.    If there was a punishment that Papa wanted, but I was like “Noooo” we talked about it, and why I said no. Sometimes, we compromised and I relented and so did he! I can say now that there are a few more sticks that I want to add into the jar.

Steppy Steps!

  1. So the first thing that we did after making the list of punishments was going through them and determining what was a light, a medium, and a dark punishment. Obviously, these are the severity of punishments. They correlate to my rules. For example, if I’m being overly rude and I mean pushing the boundaries of being a brat, that’s a light punishment. If I did it again that day, there’s either another light or a medium, etc. It’s all about what works for you guys.
  2. Now that you have your list, I take the popsicles and I count them out for each color, placing them in three separate piles and this is where it gets fun! Get to painting! Now, I noticed that it may take a few coats of paint as it soaks into the wood. How you want yours is depending on your own aesthetic! I personally did 3-5 coats of paint!
  3. Let them dry and once they’re dry, get started on writing on them! I wish I had a black marker for the light ones as white didn’t really show up perfectly for me, that or I wish I had gone a little darker for the light colored ones but its okay! Either way, write the punishments on the sticks!
  4. Put them in the jar and decorate it if you want to! VOILA! DONE!

It’s a pretty easy craft! I loved making my punishment jar and it now sits on my bookshelf as a constant reminder. Whenever Papa says, “Do you want to draw a punishment?” It cleans me right up because I know what it is in there. I know what I don’t want to do! I’ve noticed that while I am a super brat, I’ve been pretty good at reigning myself in since making the jar and it’s been interesting to see the change. I’m almost a good girl.

Question of the Day: Do you have a special way of doling out punishments?
